Lan depicts the ethnic minority women from the northern highlands of Vietnam in their brightly coloured traditional dress. The theme of women and children occupy her work. In this collection, Lan uses water colour and ink sensitively on traditional Vietnamese do or poonah paper. A delicate hand made paper derived from the mulberry plant and coated with white powder from baked shell.
Lan has work in private collections in Vietnam and overseas.
